(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Serves as primary administrative contact for students and faculty leaders participating in education abroad programs. Manages a variety of international program models focusing on program quality and addressing risk management. Develops and conducts informational sessions and recruitment events to promote access to education and experiential learning abroad.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifies new program elements in the development of international education program opportunities
2. Supports the faculty-led education abroad proposal process
3. Manages a portfolio of programs including, but not limited to exchange, affiliate, faculty-led, internship, and/or experiential
4. Conducts and participates in information sessions, classroom presentations, admission and university events, study abroad fairs, and other presentations to recruit and inform students, parents, and university personnel on study abroad opportunities
5. Supports faculty, staff, and departments in preparing budgets, salaries and compensation, and itineraries
6. Coordinates program logistics and fiscal management with faculty, staff, travel agents, vendors and other external parties
7. Develops recruitment plans and strategies in collaboration with faculty to promote programs
8. Provides advisement and support to students, parents, advisors, and faculty regarding study abroad requirements, policies, procedures, deadlines, available programs, financial requirements, and study abroad logistics
9. Serves as a liaison to offices on campus regarding education abroad programs and policies
10. May manage student incidents abroad in collaboration with department leadership and international safety and security team
11. May serve as site manager, support, and/or point of contact on international education programs
12. May manage procedures including application, selection, nomination, advising, orientation, and/or registration for outgoing students
13. May be responsible for handling challenging and complex student situations and determining appropriate responses
14. Collects and reports program data to assist leaders with the assessment, strategy, and growth of programs
15. Processes the credit and grade transfers for assigned programs, including communication with the Office of the Registrar and the Financial Aid Office, until grades are posted, if applicable

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience

Multilingual

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Preferred Experience
Experience participating in or leading an international program
Program planning and/or project management experience
Experience in a higher education setting preferred

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $47,000 to $50,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience. KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of country-specific rules and regulations
Knowledge of essential elements of pre-departure and reentry programming for students
Knowledge of general grade and credit conversion practices, financial aid regulations, and federal regulations impacting students
Knowledge of passport and visa requirements and processes
Knowledge of international agreement standards and educational contexts around the world
Knowledge of technology, social media, and data management techniques related to study abroad
Knowledge of theories and research of intercultural adjustment and college student advising
Knowledge of higher education trends in education abroad
Knowledge of KSU, BOR State of Georgia and international risk management, accounting, procurement, and travel policies

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
