The College of Lake County Foundation, a 501c3 institutionally related foundation, cultivates gifts to support capital projects, programs, and scholarships for students enrolled at the College of Lake County. Under the direct supervision of the College of Lake County Foundation's executive director, the director of corporate and foundation relations (CFR) is the foundation's primary corporation and foundation officer and will focus their work on cultivating relationships with Lake County corporations, corporate foundations, foundations, and other organizations in order to secure gifts in service of institutional mission. In partnership with the executive director and the director of development, the director of CFR will coordinate the foundation's corporate engagement strategy and also work with the foundation's board of directors to develop corporate relationships.Posting Date:

Fundraising and Prospect Management (70%)
Serve as the foundation's principal corporate and foundation relations officer. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new corporate and foundation donors. Develop engagement strategies and plans for all corporate and foundation entities in the foundation's portfolio of donors. Create and sustain an annual program of corporate and foundation LOIs, proposals, applications, and reports aimed at developing a systematized Foundation tracking system of when reporting is due and delivered for all primary solicitors on the Foundation team. Develop a CFR solicitation schedule to secure consistent annual giving from at least 50 Lake County Corporations. Drive corporate participation and sponsorships for the annual golf outing. Develop a corporate engagement program and corporate stewardship program and, in collaboration with the manager of community giving, host events that highlight the importance of CLC's corporate partnerships. Meets regularly with the executive director to track agreed-upon metrics. Prepares basic reports in preparation for meetings with the Foundation team or CLC collaborative partners. Enters all donor-related contact reports into the system (Raisers Edge) within one week of engagement. Willingness to engage in regular in-district travel, and occasional national donor-related travel.
Leadership and Strategy (20%)
Serves as a guide to the foundation team on all matters relating to corporate and foundation relations. Prepares annual fundraising strategy documents that focuses their work, and the work of the foundation, on effective corporate and foundation engagement. Develops relationships within the college, including with key academic and program partners, and serves as the foundation's representative to internal individuals and groups RE: corporate and foundation engagement. Assists in leading corporate engagement of the CLC Foundation Board. Attends and contributes to Foundation team meetings.
Personnel Management (5%)
Collaborate with Advancement Services and Prospect Management and Research staff to develop a corporate and foundations pipeline to facilitate effective fundraising. Collaborate with Stewardship and Events staff to plan and execute corporate events.
Other Duties (5%)

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum five (5) years of major gift experience, preferably in corporate and foundation constituencies.
Has successfully managed a donor portfolio of at least 50 active major gift constituents.
Demonstrated track record of setting and meeting/exceeding specific fundraising goals within expected time period.
Demonstrated project management experience, and working with project management software is a plus.
Demonstrated management of a stewardship program and experience with constituency management software preferably Raiser's Edge.
High level of computer literacy/proficiency, preferably with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) code of ethics.
Ability to manage and maintain confidential data.
Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Salary: $101,350- $109,000 The salary offered in this range will be based on education and experience.
