General Description
Under the direction of the Manager of Maintenance and Operations, the HVAC Technician will maintain, repair and install air conditioning and heating systems and other related equipment.
This position is assigned to the Visalia campus. The working hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday, and Initial placement is at $66,872.

Job Duties
Job duties of the HVAC Technician:
- Inspect, repair, maintain and service hot water and forced air heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Install new and replacement systems and equipment including valves, thermostats, fans, controllers, air compressors and lines, cables, conduits, inter-communication units and other related equipment.
- Install and maintain the Emergency Management System.
- Perform a variety of skilled heating and air conditioning work from blueprints, rough sketches or general instructions; prepare project sketches and drawing.
- Replace tubing, transformers, pressure regulators and water pumps; change and wash filters.
- Operate a variety of equipment related tools and equipment according to established safety guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe and efficient operating condition.
- Maintain records regarding completed assignments, materials used and other related matters; provide initial estimates of necessary repair work, labor and materials.
- Perform work related to computer and telephone lines and relays as necessary.
- Assist in performing other skilled maintenance duties or other trades as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
