Position Summary
Assumes responsibility for coordinating the clinical psychology doctoral PsyD program and providing support to master's programs in the department. Supports all psychology graduate programs with an emphasis on the GIPP program. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Hiring Range
The budgeted starting salary for this position is $20/hour to $24.00/hour, depending upon experience

Key Responsibilities
Graduate Student and Program Support
  • Serves as a primary liaison to students enrolled in all psychology graduate programs, especially for those enrolled in the PsyD program.
  • Works closely with program directors to monitor student enrolment and provide technical support for course registration.
  • Prepares psychology licensure applications of graduates for approval by director. Coordinates preparation of MA degree applications for the A & S Manager of Student Services and Evaluation.
  • Assists online MSOP program, as needed, with correspondence with students and faculty, assessment surveys, exit interviews, and assigning and tracking advisors.
  • Serves as a voting member of Doctoral Training Committee; distributes agendas, and records minutes of meetings.


Data Management
  • Coordinates and maintains applicable data bases to ensure student academic program data is accurate and complete; electronically files and maintains student documents, including: student records, SAEF forms, practicum evaluations, annual reviews, qualifying exam results, dissertation forms, evaluation and completion forms for internship, and other documents.
  • Participates in transfer of student documents to information management system. Prepares and distributes PsyD qualifying exam and School Psychology Comprehensive exam result letters.
  • Coordinates dissertation points and payment system by tracking points for department faculty and initiating payments for outside readers.
  • Collects, maintains and analyses data required annually departmental reports and publications.
Accreditation Support
  • Assists efforts needed to assure ongoing program compliance with APA accreditation requirements, utilizing information maintained in the data management system, and coordinates and compiles all required information.
Admissions Support
  • Provides general administration support to admission director; works closely with admissions team to respond to inquiries from prospective students.
  • Coordinates program interview day events, meeting with applicants and providing overview of the program as necessary and/or appropriate.
  • Assists program directors, as needed, with communication to applicants regarding admissions decisions.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Replies to in-person questions, emails, and phone calls as a principal point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors to the department.
  • Assists with scheduling rooms and announcement of final dissertation defenses.
  • Participates in work groups to organize and coordinate graduate program events, including, but not limited to, fall graduate orientation, annual supervisors' day, School Psychology interview day, and events at the conclusions of the fall semester and the academic year
  • Hires and supervises any graduate assistants and departmental work-study students. Monitors departmental website and submits updates as needed.
  • Maintains oversight of technology and library resources, including registration of dissertations, books, and materials.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with University constituents including, but not limited to, Graduate Admissions, Registrar, and Bursar.
