In addition to teaching and research, faculty must also participate in Departmental, School and University service, and interact with the Greater Hartford Region business community. This is not a remote position. There will also be opportunities to teach in our innovative University Interdisciplinary Studies program. Applicants should describe in their letter of intent how their teaching and/or scholarship will support inclusive excellence at the University of Hartford, in the Barney School of Business, and in the community.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must have the following credentials:
1. Education: A Doctoral degree in accounting by 8/15/2025 is required. Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) in accounting may be considered; a clear and reasonable plan for degree completion by 8/15/2025 should be included in the application. For continued employment in the tenure-track position, the doctorate must be completed by 8/15/2025.
2. Scholarly Activity: Expected to meet and maintain the Scholarly Academic classification under AACSB-International accreditation requirements by engaging in scholarly research. Please include a detailed scholarship agenda in the application.
3. Experience/Interests: Candidates are expected to have experience and/or interests in teaching accounting information systems courses and other courses depending on departments needs for course coverage. Note: Items 1-3 above are needed to meet AACSB requirements for faculty qualifications.
4. Consistency with inclusive excellence goals. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence, as well as an ability to teach, mentor, and work with a diverse population of students. The application will be reviewed to determine the candidate's consistency with the University, school and department's inclusive excellence goals.

Candidates with the following credentials are preferred:
1. Technological Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in the use of Excel and/or experience working with data analytics tools.
2. Work Experience and/or Credentials: Accounting professional work experience that is substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility and/or professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
