The Children's Center at CU Boulder invites applications for The Quality Support Team Aide position! This role provides a quality nurturing environment for a diverse population of children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten. This position aids in supporting the assistant teachers, lead teachers and administrative staff. The Children's Center is licensed through the Colorado Department of Early Childhood and has a quality rating through Colorado Shines. Who We Are

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Aides in supporting the assistant teachers, lead teachers and administrative staff in completing tasks directly and indirectly related to the care and education of children.Tasks fall under several main categories including snack/meal prep, naptime/laundry prep, cleaning/organizing of common areas, and classroom assistance. Under these categories tasks could include, but are not limited to:
- Snack/meals-food preparation such as washing, chopping, lightly cooking and portioning food for family-style service followed by cleanup, dish washing, and storage of dishes.
- Naptime-storing clean laundry, changing sheets weekly, setting up/putting away nap cots/mats. Assisting in classrooms during nap transitions.
- Common areas-unpacking/putting away cleaning/food/office supplies. Keeping storage areas with classroom toys/art supplies clean and organized. Tidying staff lounge, office closet, and kitchen areas regularly.
- Classroom assistance-checking in on classrooms for teacher bathroom breaks and supplies needed (responding to walkie talkie requests from classrooms). Providing one-on-one and small group assistance to children during busy times/transitions and covering for teachers' lunch breaks.
- Aides in providing a safe environment by inspecting and communicating to the assistant teacher, lead teacher or the director the condition of indoor/outdoor materials and equipment. Aids in teaching safety precautions to classroom children, adheres to childcare rules and regulations, selects appropriate materials to facilitate developmentally appropriate activities, maintains health standards following procedures for food preparation, nap time, and diapering. Remains current on required licensing certifications.
- Under the guidance of the assistant and lead teachers, supervises and interacts with children in the classrooms of children ages 6 weeks - 5 years using appropriate guidance techniques. Aides in implementing developmentally appropriate activities such as music, art, math, language, science, movement, dramatic play, and group activities tailored to meet children's individual needs. Provides time regularly to classroom teachers to allow for planning time, meetings, breaks, vacations, illness and other tasks away from the classroom.
- Maintains channels of communication with teaching teams and office in an effective manner. Develops good relationships with parents by communicating in a friendly manner at drop off and pick up time. Refers parents to Assistant or Lead Teachers when necessary. Maintains confidentiality in all communication. Aids in completing written reports as necessary including notes, accident reports, attendance, etc.
- Assures continual professional growth by attending staff in-services, workshops, and conferences. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling, working with different teams, and handling a variety of situations. Completes annual requirement of 15 hours training.

The annual salary for this full-time position is $37,440-$41,000.
