Position Description
Coordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program or departmental project as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students.
Major/Essential Functions
- Organize and conduct daily functions of section inventory including but not limited to, coordinating with academic departments and administrative offices to ensure successful collaboration in section builds, room scheduling, data review, and policy compliance in accordance with institutional goals and guidelines.
- Execute timely functions of course inventory data including but not limited to, coordination of course approvals, course change requests, and implementing new course offerings as defined or proposed.
- Research, coordinate, and resolve Course and Section Inventory-related issues with all necessary offices, ensuring all requirements are met and in compliance with university rules and policies. Provide guidance and advice on proper course coding and logistical design to support academic goals of departments
- Coordinate with academic departments assigned and fulfill the Collaborating Scheduling Process, including but not limited to, section build, room scheduling, data analyzing, report sharing, etc.
- Review data entry and ensure data integrity in both Banner Student Information System and Ad Astra Schedule Software.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six (6) years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Employee should possess effective communication skills for both written and in person interactions. Employee should have a critical and analytical focus and the ability to problem solve.
- Experience in Higher Education and the Student Information System of Banner are preferred but not required.
