Position Summary:
A postdoctoral scholar position is available in the Department of Physics at the University of Idaho. The overall goal of the project supporting this position is to develop and apply optical microscopy to complex, multicellular, biological systems. To meet this goal, this position combines our recent interferometric (e.g., Nature Communications), Airy light-sheet (fluorescence and Raman), and photon-sparse imaging research.

Minimum Qualifications:

The applicant must hold or be nearing completion (within approximately 1 year) of a Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related discipline.

A solid background in optics, imaging, biological physics, and related publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in optics and machine learning, or be eager to master some of these areas.
Good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a group are preferred.
