Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Assists in the execution and management of events and/or performances within the assigned department, unit and/or division.

Responsibilities

1. Assists the department leaders and staff with technical and production needs of events and/or performances in the assigned location

2. Oversees various areas of production, depending on the needs of the event, under the direction of the manager

3. Helps ensure that performers, designers, and crewmembers work safely in the venue

4. Runs shows and operates equipment in a manner that leads to client and artist success

Required Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Three (3) years of experience in theater and/or dance production or similar field

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Theater Production or similar field preferred

Work experience in a production environment of the department specialty (i.e., Dance Theater, Museums, Theater production)

Proposed Salary

The budget for this position is $20.00.

Offers will be based on candidate experience and budget availability.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Able to work safely around electricity, around theatrical rigging, with personnel lifts, on ladders, and/or a catwalk
Able to work with or around students
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and set-up related to assigned location and/or department

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, and project management skills
Stage management and calling cues
Backstage management and show run crew
Load-in and strike of lighting, audio, and staging equipment
Management of moving scenery and props
Management of costumes and basic wardrobe repair and cleaning
Lighting hang and focus, lighting console operation and basic programming (ETC Ion)
Audio cueing, playback, and console operation (i.e., QLab, CL3)
Setting up audio equipment (wireless mics, speakers)
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
