TheUniversityofColoradoDenver(CUDenver)seeksahighlyskilled,agile,compassionate,andconfidentleadertoserveasUniversityLibrarianandDirectoroftheAurariaLibrary.TheAurariaLibraryservesadowntownDenvercampuswiththreehighereducationinstitutions-CUDenver,MetropolitanStateUniversityofDenver,andCommunityCollegeofDenver.Whilethelibraryprovidesequitablesupportacrossallthreeinstitutions,comprisingnearly40,000AurariaCampusstudentsandthousandsoffacultyandstaff,thepositionreportstotheCUDenverProvost.
Thisfull-timeuniversitystaffpositionmanages59employees(includingthreedirectreports)andabudgetof$10.3million.TheDirectorworkscloselywithfaculty,students,andadministrationfromallthreepartnerhighereducationinstitutionsinplanning,resourcing,implementing,andevaluatinglibraryresources,programs,andservices,inalignmentwiththemissionsoftheseinstitutions.
TheAurariaLibraryisoneofColorado'sbusiestacademiclibraries,withmorethan650,000physicalbooks,nearly2milliondigitalresourceimpressions,and320,000annualvisits.Approximately15percentofallColoradocollegestudentsareeducatedontheAurariaCampus,inahighlydiverseurbansetting.Thelibraryhasboldaspirationsforsupportingitspartners'learning,research,andservicemissions,andiscultivatingintersectionsacrosseducationaltechnology,innovativelearningspaces,digitalmedia,digitalscholarship,researchersupport,researchinstruction,andpublicservices.

Thesalaryrange(orhiringrange)forthispositionhasbeenestablishedat$158,907-$164,862.
Thesalaryofthefinalist(s)selectedforthisrolewillbesetbasedonavarietyoffactors,includingbutnotlimitedto,internalequity,experience,education,specialtyandtraining.
Theabovesalaryrange(orhiringrange)representstheUniversity'sgoodfaithandreasonableestimateoftherangeofpossiblecompensationatthetimeofposting.

- Arecordofscholarship,librarianship/teaching,andservicesufficientforappointmentattheAssociateProfessorrankorhigheratCUDenver.
- Arecordofatleastfive(5)yearsofprogressivehighereducationleadershipexperienceinacademiclibraries,withsubstantialmanagementskillsinplanning,finance,teambuilding,andfacultyandstaffdevelopment.
