What We're Looking For
This position specifically supports the mission of the university through providing leadership to help achieve the freshman and transfer strategic enrollment management goals for each incoming class and term are met. The assistant director will help provide strategic vision for recruitment efforts of the recruitment ambassador student worker team, help plan and execute successful recruitment strategies and initiatives utilizing the RA team to gain application numbers through the enrollment funnel from students who are an academic, social, and financial fit for Baylor. This position will provide consistent, in-person leadership to the pre-college recruitment team while developing strategies for recruitment initiatives through the funnel and with development of strategic partnerships.
A bachelor's degree, three years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree and five years of experience is preferred.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

A valid Texas Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Manage the hiring process and supervision of the Recruitment Ambassador team to complete goals of the enrollment action plan. Lead recruitment and daily management of 50 student workers. Train on policies, Slate procedures, admissions and financial aid knowledge, and general Baylor knowledge to be able to counsel students within their area of interest.
- Supervise professional staff tasked with developing and maintaining the pre-college recruitment plan and overseeing their territory management.
- Supervise professional temporary admissions counseling staff tasked with supporting territory managers with personalized recruitment efforts, Waco-based visits, and presentations, and assist with recruitment efforts for specialized populations.
- Have advanced knowledge of Slate to assist in data-driven strategies and initiatives for recruitment efforts and plan consisting of specialized outreach, off-campus events, virtual recruitment, and personalized recruitment efforts. Assist with the maintenance and development of Slate queries and reports to enhance the output of the recruitment ambassador team.
- Provide guidance through the university's admissions and financial aid processes to yield students and enroll future graduates by maintaining current knowledge of complex policies and procedures. Answer inbound communications from prospective students and families and complete outbound recruitment initiatives as it relates to the strategic enrollment management plan.
- Assist with managing & staffing on and off-campus recruitment events, while offering admissions counseling information for students and families. Assist in executing prospective student events including Premiere, I2E, etc.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
