The Department of Accounting & Finance in the College of Business is seeking faculty in Financial Accounting/ Managerial Accounting/Audit.

Rank: Open Rank, Tenure-track.

In order to be eligible for appointment at advanced rank, the successful candidate must have broad teaching experience and demonstrate scholarly/professional achievement.

Qualifications:
• Possess a Ph.D. and be academically qualified under AACSB standards
(if ABD, completion of the doctorate will be required for employment)
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in the classroom.
• Experience in teaching at the graduate level is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial atmosphere as part of a team.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA licensure and experience in a CPA firm are desirable.
• Applicants should have awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural
population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.

Responsibilities:
Teaching assignments are at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in traditional and accelerated formats.

Faculty are expected to conduct research, develop grants, present professional papers, and publish in peer-reviewed journals

Candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.

Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date:
August 21, 2014
